Walter Ranz Memorial Shooting Park
This has been a long time come for the Fertile Conservation Club. The board has been working on getting a shooting range in the works for many years, but with the surge in High School Trapshooting, it has been thrown in high gear the last couple of years.
We are getting close to wrapping up the throwing houses and the walkways. We hope to wrap up wrapping and putting doors on the houses and be ready to throw clays this coming spring. We will still have many more things to do, but the Fertile-Beltrami High School Trap team will be shooting this spring at the site.
We would like to thank the many volunteers that have spent many hours, equipment, and sweat to get us this far. We are close and will be having some membership drives and open house this coming fall. Please watch for more information on the website and Facebook page.
Weather & Road Update: The Rifle range & Trap is currently open for the Fertile-Beltrami High School trap team under club supervision until the road gets better.
Membership:
We encourage everyone planning on using the range or trap shooting to become a Fertile Conservation Club member. This will help us sustain and improve the range. You can also contact one of the board members to get the payment; otherwise, attend a conservation club meeting under the events page.
$25 is 18 and older.
$15 for 17 & under.
For Trapshooting, it will cost $6 a round for clays, and you will need to bring your own shells.
Hours:
Reminder times and dates are subject to change. The Trap range takes precedence over the rifle range.
It opens in weather permitting March and closes the weekend before MN Rile Opener.
Monday Open Trapshooting starting at 5 pm.*
Tuesday Rifle range is open.**
Wednesday Open Trapshooting starting at 5 pm.*
Thursday Closed.
Friday Rifle range is open unless there is a special event.. ** ***
Saturday Rifle range is open unless there is a special event. ** ***

** Rifle range is not currently finished, and hoping to be available later this summer.
